Together since 2001, the Shannon Thue Trio began while all three members were attending the Jazz Studies program at Capilano College, North Vancouver, BC. In 2003, they were featured on a live CBC Radio program called "Rendez-Vous," and in 2004 they were recorded for broadcast at CBC Studio One in Vancouver. The trio has played in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival yearly since 2004 and played weekly at Vancouver's "Libra Room" from July 2006 to July 2007.
